The plant material should conform to the current issue of the American Standard for Nursery Stock  published by the American Association of Nurserymen. Plant material should be selected from certified nurseries that have been inspected by appropriate state or federal agencies. The botanical (scientific) name of the plant species should be in accordance with a standard nomenclature source such as Gray's Manual of Botany or other locally accepted sources.
